Ignore certain threads

I read the 'The Lounge' threads, but I have no interest in the 'Pop Quiz' or 'Lets see your watches' ones. Is there any way to flag them so that the icon on the Board Index page turns red when there are other new posts, but ignores those?

Why don't you just clear everything, then only select 'unread posts'. This will then only show you additions that you haven't already seen.
OK, so it will still show the ones you're not interested in, but if you look a few times a day you'll only have a dozen or so threads.
You read the ones you want, and they disappear from the list.
When you're left with the ones that don't interest you, simply click on 'Mark all read' and it clears the sheet until next time you look and there's new stuff added.

Not only that it minimizes the possibility of arguments... so much better to be able to block a thread so you forget it is full of things that wind you up, than constantly having it there in front of you tempting you to post and continue the argument!
One could not possibly imagine which specific current thread you may be referring to :D

I think the above is spot-on. Due to the way our brains are wired, it can be difficult to ignore/scroll past. Almost every day I exert effort to stop myself from posting something argumentative (not this forum).

I only use the new threads option, so unless I go into something I will never see it. There are plenty threads that never come up on my list that way

Or you could close you eyes
That explains a lot. You really should open them when trying to keep up with me though. :P
Time for a Dartmoor meet I think. alas I will be in a boring grey little Mx thing. But you may still need to open your eyes to keep up. :)

A Dartmoor meet up would be very nice, I don't think it matters what make of car just as long as your roof is down  I've heard that those MX things are quite hard to keep up with on twisty roads. Let me know when, as long I it doesn't involve climbing those ruddy tors :poke: :D
But not the 6th July please as it’s my wife’s birthday and we usually go out for the day.

Usually? You spoil that woman.

Last time I took Lynn to my local they automatically sang happy birthday to her.

That made me laugh on an otherwise very sad day! :|

Not ashamed to admit I had a tear in my eye yesterday. You don't have to have met someone to know they were a special human being.
