I must say that although it’s an unwelcome expense and a bit of unnecessary hassle - it all pales into insignificance when compared to the situation N4lly and his fellow sufferers find themselves in - so I apologise if I sound like I’ve been bleating on about a non real problem!

It’s not in the same league.

New tyre fitted this morning “ £245 to you sir!”
The dealer is going to look at the very very tight wheel bolts on Thursday/Friday.

Glad you sorted it Ron, I think any place that fits tyres always seem to overtighten wheel nuts, probably to cover themselves as who checks them after 100 miles to retorque.

Tim.

I spoke to the service manager this morning and he wants me to take the car in to have the bolts cleaned, de greased and refitted to the correct torque.
