Got the 'six month itch' AGAIN!

I don't know why, but lately I seem to need a new car every six months or so. :?

Six months is almost up from the last two (yep it's getting so bad I am buying two at a time now) and I have come into some money.

So I am seriously thinking of..............

I hate green cars, but works for this puppy. Achingly beautiful car IMO

For me, Lotus always carries that age old stigma Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious. I have to agree though, its definitely a stunning car.

Love the Emira but would want a brighter colour and I have had two Lotus, Elan M100 & Elise, always regretted selling that Elise, go for it and enjoy

I’d love that, it’s far more striking than the Cayman equivalent.
Just a word of caution Pondrew, your full postcode appears in the Autotrader search linked (assuming that you used your own postcode).
As for “Lots of Trouble”, I’ve driven around 9k miles in my Exige in just over a year of ownership without the slightest hint of trouble…unless you include deafness :D

Do ITTTTT..... my new steed should be here by october , i'm so excited its painful! lol! The emira ROCKS, one of my recent clients is the head of lotus UK , really cool guy and he was given one by lotus in this exact colour scheme it looks SO cool. Just do it! YOLO.

To replace which one? Thought you had bought the Z3 instead of your usual boy racer
Not to replace anything..just an additional 'toy'. But therein lies the problem.....space!
There is not room in the garage for another car with the Z3 and me having to work on it. The Z3 can't go outside.
I have space outside (just) but I would not have a car like that outside, even under a cover.
I know of someone who offers storage for classic cars locally, but a) he charges a lot and b) I don't want a car which I have to 'visit'.

Looks like you've talked yourself out of it already  which might be easier than getting out of it

As said if you fit in it then go for it, looks great and the likes of Harry Metcalfe and Tim Burton (Shmee150) rate it.

I don't think you can compare today's Lotus's from days of old, build, reliability etc.

Looks great :)

Tim.

I had a 1985 Lotus Excel back in 1990. I never noticed it being bad quality TBH. In the year I had it, it didn't let me down despite me driving to Wales with the oil filler cap missing which made a bit of a mess (my fault)!

Sounds like you’re looking for an excuse to bin the project, which would be a shame. I’d say finish the “Ferrari”, there will still be Lotuses for sale in five years time :D

That is beautiful car and I love the colour. But is it the right purchase for someone who doesn’t enjoy driving very much?😉😉😉

I was looking at these the other day and decided this exact spec would be what I’d go for. A stunning combo imo, and looks far more exotic than the Cayman. 8)
