There are battery backed up dashcams and BMW do one that plugs into the car seamlessly.

The A229 Pro has arrived with the HK4 hardwire kit.

What is the best way to install the hardwire kit? I need to connect to battery, ground and ACC. So I need to be close to the fuse box.

Never mind, I guess any constant powered fuse will do, i.e. indicators.

for switched i was thinking the cigarette lighter no8 or the washers no48

for permanent live i was looking for the hazards which i think are 62, 84, 86 (can i use any of those three???)
