Finished refreshing the Z4M light up gearknob. It had horrible bubbles under the paint where the numbers were and looked awful. Popped the top off and realised I would have to take all the paint off (including the M flash). Anyway I masked up and repainted the flash from scratch than masked and painted the black and it came out perfect. Reattached to top of knob, job done. Not fitting to car as have fitted the ZHP. Sadly I didn’t take a before picture.

Well happy with that result! Ready to go into Max’ Maldives roadster soon. I also started on something for myself, big reveal later
Four Alfa's and a Ducati later, I've turned to the dark side...

Didn't do anything's ng to the car over the weekend but I did do something to my head. Went out for a couple of hours in the sunshine and have ended up with a very red head. I should know better, I have had this "hair style" for over 20 years but still get caught out without a hat
Anyway took her on a couple of local biker routes and she faired pretty well.

Full service yesterday. Car seemed to run sweeter after fresh oil and new sparks.
I took the opportunity to fit a new thermal oil level sensor (easy peasy) as I had two codes:
27C3 DME: Thermal oil-level sensor
279C DME: Thermostat, map cooling : activation
Although I had a new thermostat lined up, changing the sensor fixed both codes so they must have been related.
Then I got sunburnt driving around

I got the original wheels put back to BMW silver (they were black), took off the Apex Arc 8's and returned the car to a standard look. Just need some nice weather now.

Looks lovely
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.

Filled up from empty after just 3 days of daily driving and 1.5 mountain runs. Normally a tank lasts me a week

Looks gorgeous in white. Wrapping later this year, was thinking a dark matte grey similar to the Sterling Grey shade but after seeing that I think white might be the way to go! Switching the lights for chromed spyder auto halo lights so I think white would go a lot better with the chrome look to be honest, less contrast!
Not much done per-say, but chucked a bottle of techron in yesterday had a fuel gauge issue, not going above 3/4 tank, filled up after and left it over night before a run around this morning and it's reading perfect now. Waiting for my new door speakers to arrive and a Gaptech module i've ordered
