No particular issues with the Z4 auto transmission. Both the auto and manual are strong and reliable ‘boxes.

Which you prefer is a matter of preference. I drive an auto and love it, but many seem to think a manual is the more purist sports car experience (speaking for the UK here). Clearly you can’t “heel’n’toe” an auto if you are into fast technical driving, track etc.

One advantage the auto offers is the sport button really makes a difference :driving:

There is an auto Z4 on Facebook marketplace with 232,000 miles on it so it seems they handle the mileage well.

Well there's me getting all excited thinking I'm about to fend off divorce by making space on the drive. So let's take the wee beastie out for a final check run.

Code reader, he say - OSF ABS sensor dead.
I know I've seen an ABS sensor in a box in the garage somewhere.
What are the chances? OSF! Get in. :D
44 minutes from hearing the bong the car is back on the drive, test driven and all hunky dory.
