What age? They differ from facelift/prefacelift

If it’s a Facelift… I have one .and it’s under the Drivers seat unless you are a Lefthand drive region.

But do you know why it's failed? Is it soaked under there?

Don't know yet, the Z is just having a quick service and the usual three lights were on, code came up pointing to the yaw sensor, the guy knows his Z's so hoping he is right.

Sounds about right, but it's most often due to water ingress. Push the seat fully forward then slide your hand in through the join in the carpet.
No point fitting a new sensor if it's wet. But also, if it is, bag up the airbag satellite module at the base of the B-pillar before that succumbs as well.
