IIRC it's 30mm and a thin-wall socket is needed or grind some metal of an old/cheap one. Go back and look at Steps 6, 7 and 8 again. You have to mark the nut, loosen it and carefully count how many turns until it can be removed. Upon reassembly wind it back on the same amount of turns until your marks line up. I have the car on blocks, and the drive shaft dropped. For future reference, the ribbed torx screws (x4) that secure the drive shaft to the differential input are torx socket size E12
I am ready to grease the input flange, but I need to remove the differential input nut first. There is not much clear information on the size or torque required for this nut.
I measured it and it seems to be around 1 3/16" which lands closest to 30mm

I have finally completed the repair, thank you for all your help through this procedure! The information you provided really helped me complete this project.
