DTC/ABS codes

Post by bigwinn » Thu Mar 14, 2024 9:38 pm

Evening

Got a set of codes that won’t clear- 53 plate 2.5

5DA3 wheel speed sensor front right
5DF4 system voltage <9v
5E5C initialise run flat indicator

I’ve replaced both front ABS sensors to no avail

The fault still won’t clear and 4 yellows remain

Any pointers/thoughts?

Cheers

Stuart

On mine I had to replace the opposite one diagonal, so the code told me right rear and I had to replace left front for it to go. No idea why though.

Did you clean the reluctor ring whilst replacing the sensors and check it wasn't cracked or broken. That would throw codes.

And there are only reluctor rings on the rear. The fronts are cast into the hub.

Think you’re into diagnostic swaps of the yaw sensor and dsc sensors then?
Unless it is a wiring issue.

DTC/ABS codes

Agreed I’ll try both

I’m going to link up ista/inpa first to see if the creator code reader I took wasn’t up to the job of clearing the codes

Update

I’d left the car with the owner with the intention of going back with ista/inpa

However a spirited drive has cleared all the codes- thinking the car has relearned the adaptations

So all good case closed
