E 86 /85 DRIVERS WARNING FROM WALES

Post by TOMGREEN413 » Sat Dec 23, 2023 10:19 pm

I wouldn't get to excited in England, rumour has it your be having it in 2025
After some more research it seems, the vans don't need to be visible, have night vision and light filters, can get you in either direction. To cap it off warning other drivers by flashing your lights is deemed obstructing an officer in his duties.....welcome to 1984 and a jack boot crushing your face into the dirt. :x
White e89 Red leather interior (But that's the wife's and don't I know it :/ )
Montego Blue Coupe manual si sport 💙 (Faster than the above....much faster :)

I must admit the 20 limit is one of the reasons I'm still undecided about B21s Welsh Trip next year.

There are already plenty of 20 limits in England already, especially in London Boroughs but they don't seem to be enforced much - yet!

But I've got to be more careful now after doing a Speed Awareness Course a couple of weeks ago.
Coupes because stunning!

It’s a limit, not a target, and slower is safer, so I’ll just drive everywhere at 5mph and put my feet up on the dashboard…because we know nothing else but speed is responsible for accidents :P

axelleveau wrote: Sat Dec 23, 2023 11:18 am Funny how they lower limit from 30-40 to 20 as people drive too fast, then enforce the 20 hard... would be making everyone happier if they were enforcing for the people using the road like a racetrack when it was 30-40 before... :headbang:
This way we would not move at snail speed, hit bumps all over the place and be in fear of daring to get 4th gear in :driving:
It is a cunning plan to make IC engines appear less efficient. So we all switch to evo friendly EVs.n

The 20 mph speed limit is nuts, I have to drive to Barbican in London from the M4 every three weeks and big stretches of 30mph are now 20mph. You really need the reflexes of a Ninja with all the bloody cyclists overtaking you and cutting in, that’s in addition to the electric bikes and scooters… it’s a nightmare :headbang:

On another point, I’m not condoning phone use in the car at all, but with these new cameras CarPlay and whatever the android equivalent is are the way forward.

Having said that, I don’t understand how having to flick through several menus on a big screen just to adjust the heating (in an electric car) is somehow safer than accepting or rejecting a call on a phone attached to a phone mount on the dash.

How is messing with a permanently fixed tablet deemed ‘safe’…

Watch out, here comes ‘1984’

Yep, it's all BS.

Not any more! I think that the summer trade will drop off due to this once word gets around re fines etc and we will be lumbered with even more f'ing grockles in Devon and Cornwall :headbang:
Don't worry there are plenty of 20mph zones in Cornwall too.

It's a great way to destroy the Welsh tourist industry. I won't be driving in Wales again. It's not worth the risk.
