Found this wee green beastie buried under all the boot trim..

It’s got a green plastic cord attached to it..

For once I didn’t pull it to see what happened..

Any ideas?

Petrol cap release?

Where is it on the e85?
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

I have a complete assembly lying around if anybody wants it.
It has the solenoid for the locking pin, cable and the little green plastic thing. It came out of a Z3 but I will bet it is the same as Z4 ones, apart from may have a different electrical plug connector.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold

Many thanks, nice to know this, I had a 3 year old Vauxhall Zafira that the solenoid packed up on and I was panicking getting to the garage to have it sorted with the fuel level getting lower and lower. :headbang:

Yeah happens all the time on the Audi/VW platforms aswell
