Is there a Welsh equivalent of the NC500?
There are many spectacular roads/scenery running north/ south in Wales and the weather is (generally) slightly better.

There's the "Wales Way". I've done parts of it, the roads through the Black Mountains and Elan Valley are pretty spectacular, and often empty on a nice spring day. Or at least they were 8 years ago when I last drove that way.
