Mass air flow

Post by domsz4 » Sat Mar 02, 2024 5:05 pm

Who knows what about mass air flow sensors,

I bought one that is advertised as for a e84 Z4 but it doesn’t fit. It’s is exactly the same in appearance etc as the one that came off but is obviously smaller in diameter.
Part number d]from real eom with my car details (not the vin) gives part number 13627566983, part number of the one I bought is 13627566984

If I put this in real oem it does list a z4 2002-2006 so I’m guessing it’s for a smaller engine maybe?

If you use RealOEM, it tells you exactly which Z4 models each number is used on.

Sounds like you bought a 2.2/2.5 one when you needed the 3.0 one.
Hopefully they will let you exchange, but if not I'm pretty sure you'll get a decent percentage of your money back on here.

Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

Yeah conclusion I came to also. Annoying cos I usually cross reference the part number from real oem. I bet I searched for it using the right one and just chose one from the search without thinking. Oh well live nd learn. It didn’t make it past me taking it out of the box next to the old one and realising so should be able to send it back
