Wheels - can anyone confirm...

Post by millview22 » Fri Nov 17, 2023 3:54 pm

I have the M sport brakes with 19 inch wheels on my car. Is anyone able to confirm that my 18 inch (18" M Double-spoke style 798) winter wheels will fit over the callipers? The BMW winter wheel configurator suggests all should be well...

Hi. I can confirm I have S30i M Sport Pro package so 19” as standard. I bought BMW OEM winter wheel and tyre set which are 18” and all fine. Because have more tyre , actually is a more comfortable ride with them on.

This is a useful guide, for winter tyres the set up is 255/40 R18 all round if you have the M Sport Pro package

Good to know that 18" wheels can fit over the brake calipers if you have 19" M wheels.

But is it the case that 17" OEM wheels (which used to be standard on the old UK 20i base model) can be fitted if you have 18" wheels? Or does it depend on whether or not you have M brakes fitted (which I presume will have bigger calipers than standard brakes) ?

Windy.
