Anybody know this car or been to view?

Per thread title… still considering an Alpina (or Z4M) and thought this looked interesting

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202307209883602?sort=price-desc&advertising-location=at_cars&exclude-writeoff-categories=on&include-delivery-option=on&make=BMW&model=Alpina%20Roadster&postcode=BS30%206HJ&seller-type=private&fromsra

Anyone know the car?

It’s #204 and the owner is on here as PhilA52, based in Plymouth area I believe.

I’ve messaged you more details Martin

If you like BMWs, then an Alpina is BMW +

I don't know how Alpina do (did) it, but they make an ordinary BMW into something very special. Much more than the sum of their parts.
Alpinas are (were) the 'mature M' version of whichever model it is IMO.

It isn't often anyone suggests I'm immature at my age, so I'll take that as a compliment!

Although I always think of Alpinas as the "lazy M" alternative - apart from the Z4 they are nearly all Autos. :(

Couldn’t agree more, this car felt very special, quite different to an M but being 130KG lighter… just as quick in the real world, but more civilised

Nice! What colour is that?
I love Alpina 'dynamic' wheels. :D
I thought it was no more manuals for you ATM?

If you didn't know already www.thealpinaregister.com is a very useful forum for all things Alpina. Not quite as 'fun' as this one, but there are some VERY knowledgeable people on there!

It’s a one off Alpina Roadster colour called ‘Alpina Blue’…” Alpinablau II Metallic (A46) “ I love it, only 15 Alpina Roadsters in this colour in the UK apparently and doesn’t appear on any non-Alpina Zeds. Exclusive little club

Forgot to say, Mrs not going to be insured on this one. Hence doesn’t need to be auto

Congratulations True-Blue.

It's great to see an Alpina in a distinctive colour too. Apart from Perry Gunn's Red one I've only ever seen them in Black (2 at the National) or Silver (3 at Zedfest).

……still not as rare as a white E85 😂

I’m not sure how much more Tomo can take before he gets his wrapped in black

No biting reaction boys apart from stating the facts.....🤣

That's a superb purchase Martin...looking forward to seeing it soon....

I know one of those - pre-facelift with cloth seats, I knew it when it was new as the owner would be on a lot of the Z forum trips then.

That is a nice looking Alpina, I would not rule out getting one of those (will make my total exposure to the big engine models complete  )

That's a cracking looking machine Martin, how much time you going to spend detailing it

Doesn’t really need anything, current owner seems to have been fastidious and fussy… a bit like myself. It’s done in a Gtechnic ceramic coating, not sure which one, doesn’t go out in the rain or in winter and lives in a garage under a light dust cover.

Has a couple of very small ‘dinks’, but I’ll still have Steve from voodoo dents over at some point.

It’s a fantastic colour, which isn’t especially well captured in the photos - Alpina only specific colour

I’ve spent way more on brand new/ex-dem cars before - but I think we’ve reached a fair compromise on price based on the current market (which is very slow for this type of niche car, Z4M’s etc).

I just need to formulate a storage plan for my 3.0Si as I’m not giving it away and it’s already at very attractive price point I feel.
