We were attempting to negotiate a tricky diversion around Dreux (with the usual French level of 'We told you the road was closed and no it's up to you' on Sunday when we lost all GPS Location. Fortunately we had our trusty road atlas. The GPS locator had us apparently driving in circles.
A full re-set changed nothing. But when we got back into the car yesterday morning for our return to the (woeful) UK everything was working again, even if the UK roads were even worse than those in France. It was as if the satnav was trying to keep us in France!

GPS location issue
Are you running the latest software update and maps?
I had the occasional gps issue which completely went away after a software update.
Or you have a faulty gps module which is what happened to my friends X5. Said he was out at sea while driving through London!
