2005 Nissan Micra SE 1.2 auto, 25k miles

Post by inkey$ » Fri Jun 09, 2023 5:31 pm

Thought I'd put an ad on here before AT, eBay etc just in case somebody was looking for a cheap runabout....car is in Blackheath SE3.

Nissan Micra SE Auto for sale
2005, Petrol 1.2, Blue, 5-door and on just 25k miles
ULEZ compliant

Selling for my mother-in-law who was the second owner, bought this Micra in 2011, but has since given up driving. I have the V5 which is now in my name (technically I’m now the 3rd owner) and the car comes with full and very comprehensive service history with lots of bills and receipts.

Recent new battery and service. She starts on the button and ticks over perfectly with no knocks or bangs. Driving is smooth and the auto box kicks down when it needs to and also benefits from an overdrive button. The interior is bright and has plenty of space front and rear, with cup holders and storage compartments. The boot is a decent size and I've also added new floor mats front and back ,as well as a set of new wheel trims. The headlights have been polished and protected.

Generally the car presents very well, however it is now 18 years old and the paintwork has a few minor bumps, marks and stone chips. There are also a couple of dents to the passenger side rear wing, as seen in the photos. The factory fitted CD/radio is present but inoperative. The car is equipped with aircon but its not tremendously cold, so could do with a re-gas.

The car experiences battery drain if left for more than a week. I fitted a brand new battery and then traced the drain problem down to the immobiliser (a common fault on K12 Micra’s), so I have added a simple battery terminal isolator switch under the bonnet. If leaving for more than a day or two, I simply lock the car and disconnect the battery so it stays fully charged.

This little Micra is great on fuel and would make an ideal first car for somebody. With just 25k genuine miles on the clock, if you’re looking for low insurance, cheap-to-run, reliable ULEZ compliant motoring, there is a lot of life left in this car.

If only it was a manual, I would take it for my daughter and get rid of the rotten Mini!

It's exactly the same spec, colour and year as the last car my mum had before she had to give up driving (not before time). The only difference is yours has a LOT less dents on it!

They are great little cars and that mileage!!. GLWTS
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Its a fun little thing. I almost want to keep it myself
Took a call this evening after an hour being advertised elsewhere. Should be being picked up later tonight by a guy who’s daughter is learning in an auto.
