Hi all - and thanks again to everyone that gave me advice over the last few days, it really helped.
But now an official Z4 owner (2010 30i) with some splendid new wheels courtesy of the Smartest Bear in town…(pic attached, as is obligatory I believe)

Some qs though
I think the front discs need doing (slight noise whilst driving, looked ‘bobbly’ round the edges when I did the wheels) but not sure if I have M Sport callipers or not? Can’t see it on the spec but they painted blue?
And any easy first upgrades - change the Ariel (yes it’s the whippy one), soft top roof module, CarPlay?

Your wisdom is most appreciated

Welcome to the forum and Z4 ownership, there’s a big difference of opinion regarding the aerial, personally I prefer a stubby but many don’t, car play/mr12volt is a great upgrade and brings the car up to date with music, navigation and phone connectivity.
The noise from the brakes/ rusting on the outer edge shouldn’t be a problem if you’re not getting any juddering through the brake pedal or steering, it looks like you have the msport bumper, you could try a vin code checker that may give you more information on build specs.

They suit the car, nice colour combination

I believe all 30i’s have the same front disk’s / callipers / pads regardless of Msport / non-Msport. I think yours is a non-Msport based on your front bumper.

Put the registration into AUTODOC and it will give you you the vehicle designation. Alternative, go on to auto trader and do the first part of the ‘sell a car’ process and it will give you some basic designation info… you can then abort

Giving the brakes a good hammering by some hard stops from decent speed can often clear any noise if they've been nannied by cleaning off glazing and getting the caliper pistons to move freely.

Nice Zed, grey really suits them.

Whippies are definitely to compensate for another shortcoming. Just sayin’. :fuelfire:

Brilliant motor !
