Steering Wheel Trim Touch-Up / Repaint?

Post by StudioWizard » Sun Jun 04, 2023 8:06 am

Hey all

I've been searching for some threads and videos about touching up and/or repainting the steering wheel trim on a 2.5i, but not finding anything relevent. Has anyone here successfully repainted or touched up their steering wheel trim. It seems like it could be doable...

Any thoughts?

Here's my contribution:

The button units can be dismantled to allow the surround to be sprayed without having to mask off the individual buttons.

Someone (Inkey$ or Street, IIRC) did a thread the other week including details on how to dismantle things (4 torx screws from behind, 1 each side, 2 in the big piece.)

Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?

That's quite a contribution! Beautiful work on those trim pieces. I'll search for those other threads.

Thanks!
