Recommendation for YouTube or other article on polishing / paint correction ?

Looking to treat our 3 cars with some restoration / correction of the paintwork…

Looking to some good tutorials on how and when to do it..

Internet littered with many but would like something that the ‘experts’ here would concur with…

I only ever watched one video , think it was "the forensic detailer" once you know the basic technique its more a learn on the job type thing

The only advice I would give is to take your time and don't take short cuts!
I've ended up with a process that works for me and the products I am happy using, but the key thing is to do it properly or not at all i.e. put the time in, use product correctly etc.

Thank you all for the information. I've just treated myself to some Meguiars products, and I need to wait for a cool day to get polishing.
It would be interesting to see before and after and any lessons you've learnt.

Ditto, got some amazing results with detailing from this channel and its products that are tested almost obsessively

Based on Peter’s workshop, Lift, air conditioning/heating and big turbo builds… I think £500+ on a quality D/A, pads, compounds etc won’t raise a bead of sweat on his brow

In all seriousness, Peter, go for something like a Flex forced drive D/A with a 6’’ backing plate and 7’’ Rupes pads - 3 cars is a chunk of work, it’s harder than it looks from the videos.

You might as well get stuck straight into learning on a forced drive machine, faster results, especially on curved panels - of which the E89 has many. Google FLEX SupaBeast, there’s an American guy Mike Phillips, a little annoying, but a skilled and experienced detailer who does make some good tutorial video’s, especially around forced drive machines that don’t stall.
