This the site you found? I used it the other day to check history on a car I looked at. You pop in the reg and pay your tenner.

Here is what a sample report looks like https://www.vcheck.uk/report/S4MPLE-NXGX84U
Do'h, woods for the trees -- I was doing .co.uk rather than just .uk :headbang:

Thanks

Obviously I cant guarantee it will have pics of your damage, but from kicking around the internet for a few years this site seems to uniformly get the better reviews from car owners across a number of forum spaces etc.

Sadly it did not have the pictures "Unfortunately, we were unable to find any salvage records for this registration. Not every written-off vehicle will have a salvage record as some vehicles will be written-off and not sent to a salvage yard for auction."
It did give me the date though being 2012-12-04

Personally I think you’ve hit the nail on the head with this

“ Yeah, some people do love the track car look - it is obviously a much smaller niche pool, many perhaps not on this forum”

I thought right from your first post, before any replies, that this may not be the best platform for your car.

I do think you’ve also hit another very valid point in a later post

“I may consider removing some stuff though and selling separately such as the custom steering wheel, sport button mod, xlr racechip etc”

There’s probably multiple things like listed where you may not need to buy/source replacements that have a sell on value but cause you little hassle or financial outlay but increase your return.

All imo, I hope life gets better and whatever you’re going through improves. GLWTS whatever you decide to do

G29 M40i Thundernight with Ivory interior, all option packs (here for a while, hopefully )
G29 M40i Misano Blue all option packs (Gone 26k of fun)
E89 35iS, Valencia Orange, Design Pure Traction pack (Gone)
    E89 23i sDrive, Silver (Gone)

OP: Have you thought about speaking to Anglia Car Auctions in King's Lynn? They are a less famous version of the "bangers and Cash" lot. Not too far from you and they may give an indication of whether it could sell for decent money in one of their auctions. It is of an age now where they would potentially put it into their 'classics auctions'.
May be worth a phone call at least?
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

    F31 320i. Good car.
    E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
    Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

You need to find someone with your taste in mods, maybe a custom/modified car website, club, meet, probably you are going to need to work hard to get £4k. I doubt an auction would get the price, usually buyers are picking up bargains at way less than cost.
    Best of luck.

Buy this one, swap all the parts over,https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175711439408 ... R57Fr7-GYg, then you will no longer have a Cat C. Probably recoup a fair bit back in parts.
