Might be useful for anyone considering a pre-summer oil service, seems a good price for 4 litres, help offset the road tax

cheers andy, that's not far off the price/l I paid for 20L recently, nice find. Could only order a max of 2 with my regular prime account, but will bolster the ranks at least!

It's from Castrol's official UK amazon store, so yeah it could be fake, but I think I trust that more than some story about someone's motor going pop at the ring and blaming dodgy oil

Not seen that have to admit. Is it legit?....well it's sold and dispatched from Amazon and from that thread:

It’s only safe if you buy from Amazon directly i.e. delivery and invoice from Amazon and not from Amazon market place or sub-dealers on Amazon.

I'll take my chances, seems like a fair bit of hysteria to be honest and nothing actually substantiated. Not in the least worried personally. But yeah, everyone's free to buy their oil from wherever they want.

Glad some people benefitted and yes still a good price even at £39.99. Just an FYI, I received mine today and although can't verify the contents obviously...they look perfectly genuine and legitimate to me.

It is showing as £45.99 using the ink in "AndyBeech"s thread which seems a pretty good price.

I paid £43.39 last November on what was said to be a Black Friday deal.
