Hi guys
I've also got an old Mx-5. When I got that car, the first thing I was told was to clear the holes that drain the water from the soft top, down through the body of the car. They can get gummed up and cause the water to drain into the car chassis instead. Hence all of the Mx-5 sills rusting away.
Do we have a similar things with the Z4? I had a look today but couldn't find any obvious drainage points.
Thanks

And then get the roof motor moved into the boot as even clear drains don’t guarantee that the flask it sits in isn’t full of water and slowly killing the motor
