Cars & Coffee at Road & Race, Sunday 16 April, Wilden, Bedfordshire

I’ll start with an apology… a pal of mine brought this event to my attention. Posted on Facebook apparently. As the weather was favourable and we are only a few miles away, it was an opportunity for a run out. Pleased I did, and will post some pics in a second or two. If you’re interested in some serious motorsport prepping, then these guys may be right up your street. Going by the bumper stickers and workshop cars, there is definitely a leaning toward Lotus. But the Z4 was made to feel most welcome alongside an eclectic mix of cars new and not-so. I’ll post out if Road to Race offer another event (free donuts gets my vote every time) and in the meantime feel free to look them up on the web and social media. A

The green lotus is back with its owner for the second time. Sold, then 5 years later it happened to be on the market when the owner was looking for another. Apparently it was one of two of this colour combo made that year… the other went to Jersey (All this from the ex Traffic owner).

My fav? The E30 M3. Left hand drive. Spotless condition, but gets used. Also love the ‘86 Cossie (it’s the boy in me), the white ‘kit’ (built on Mazda gear, 600kg, 260bhp) and the Porsche Cayman in the unusual plum paint.
