Discovering new things about your car

Post by PSQ777 » Tue Mar 07, 2023 11:40 am

Inspired by my OH's comment when I mentioned I found the heating steering wheel in her car useful, she said "what heated steering wheel ?"... after owning the car for 3 years. Anyway it seems I still keep finding new things in my M40i, seemingly on a weekly basis. None of which is the heated steering wheel :-) 3 months in and it still keeps giving. Just for fun here are my recent finds:

- The wing-mirrors have an automatic kerb view mode but only when the mirror rocker switch is to the right.
- Clicking on the compass on the map view toggles between three different views.
- Graphic equalizer on the hi-fi.
- "Hey BMW, relax/revitaise me".

Does anyone else have the same moments of discovery ? Any obscure feature you would like to share ?

The car can put you back into the center of a lane and it's annoying so I keep it disabled.

I should probably throw in the service position for the windscreen wipers. A lot of people seem suprised when I show it them. Makes cleaning the car a lot easier.

Anyway, ignition on, wiper stalk pull down for 3 swipes... and the wipers will then stay in the upright position.
