E85 steering wheel (fully refurbished)

Refurbished the old wheel off of my roadster and it’s now up for sale. Completely decontaminated, cleaned, sanded and recoloured the leather so it looks and feels really good now.

Could have left the silver spokes but they were a little tatty in places and a couple of the lugs were broken which I glued back together. I decided to sand down as best as I could (the chrome plastic reacts very differently to the MSport plastics). Then treated to 2 coats of plastic primer, 3 coats of matte black and 3 coats of matt lacquer. Its feels a little rough/textured on some of the areas, but nothing you’d notice or annoy you. I’ve tried to show this in the pics.

How easy is the wheel to get off and the plastic covers - I've got to refurb the one on my Z4MR as it's letting the car down now I've had the paint done

Its easy enough, but you need to be super careful. Slow and steady wins the less-plastic-lugs-breaking race. for the button units a credit card to separate them gently works well. The screws just unscrew (obvs), and have some superglue handy just in case.
