Sorry last question . Can the colour of the connecting rods be changed and or done in the same colour as the model ?

The connecting rods are totally clear and will blend/reflect perfectly with all colours. The model shown has clear connecting rods but is awaiting totally clear spacers and that is why they are so visible in the images at the moment(showing white nylon spacers)
Dark blue Tinted Acrylic would look nice as a model ..

Ok put me down as No - 1 order . Tinted Dark Blue or as close as you can find to Montego Blue- Z4 Coupe on base - The only thing I dont really like are the chrome ends on the connecting rods . If they can be the same colour blue or even black that would be better .

That was my first thoughtmmm-five wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 8:36 pmRoadster should be easy, just do it with the roof up or hardtop fitted
Anyway. Roadster done except for tidying up a few contours here and there... Simplifiied no fuss interior but I think it works...
Choice of LHD or RHD ... I'll be making it so if you would like to see it in any colour let me know...

I’m fascinated by this mf Id love to have a go.
Have you considered edge lighting on it? I’m not sure Led strips would run thin enough but perhaps a precut grid below alligned to direct a light source?
Also did you exclude the wheels as a sculpting design choice or was it a build headache?
I’m interested in a dark Green or blue coupe

Put me down for a coupe version too please.
Don't know what colour, but likely to be some sort of 'smokey grey' if possible.
Might even put it on an chrome & wood mount though

I have done 3D models which sit on an Acrylic base before but which then are mounted on a thicker wooden base. This allows a light source to be used to illuminate the model from below. This model has been kept simple but its (another!) option.Street wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 12:48 am I’m fascinated by this mf Id love to have a go.

The wheels are easy. This is purely a sculpture(as my others) based on the fantastic body lines of many a classic and sports car.
I will be sending of the orders list at the months end. And confirm with everyone the options beforehand.

..then theres this colour etc... etc... but the mention of a chrome plinth did bring up a possible brave/inspired choice... Mirrored Acrylic!.mmm-five wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 2:48 pm...this what?

The 'smokey tinted grey' shown on the previous page would look very good though.

It’d have to be a transparent/translucent smoky grey/brown/bronze acrylic for me
