Being a new member (just purchased a 2004 Z 4 yesterday} how do I ask a question on the forum? You may be able to answer this question,
I didn't get an owners manual. What is the UP and Down arrows on the right side of the steering wheel for? Thanks, Rich

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It looks like your question has been answered. If you want a hard copy of the owners manual there are a few people on here who break Z4s and may be able to help you out, or if not try Ebay.

Now we just need to see some photos of your Z4!

As soon as the snow quits falling I'll take pics of my Z 4 and post them. It is 19 years old and the electric top isn't working. From what I hear this is a common problem. Mostly caused by the drain holes being plugged.

Welcome aboard.
I’ll hazard a guess that from the snow comment you’re not UK based?
No matter. For the simple price of a return flight and a warm bed I’ll pop over and fix your roof and even bring an owners manual with me 😁

I'm about 135 miles south of Chicago. Your offer may be less than our BMW dealer here locally would charge. :)

I wouldn’t be too sure  In all seriousness if you go on you tube there is a wealth of how to videos on sorting your roof.

How to enter a question?

Post by harley2004smhd » Sat Mar 04, 2023 6:36 pm

Thank you. Mine has several options, one is the dash and gear shift knob are wood grain (plastic I think). Any way I think it is probably an after market part. On the passenger side (right side in USA) the wood grain piece is missing for the cup holder. That and the cover for the small motor on the soft top release motor. I'm going to check several junk yards Monday for those parts and an owners manual.
