Undercarriage pictures Z4MR

Post by Monster666 » Tue Feb 28, 2023 8:34 pm

Evening

does anyone have any pictures of the underneath of a Z4M - I need to see the area beneath the front bumper and engine.

My car is in the garage and I need to order some parts but real oem doesn't seem to show me what I need

There is a piece of plastic trim that fits to the underside of the bumper and goes under the engine.

Thanks

Where are you? I had a similar problem. Is it the part that has a flap hanging down, like a small mudflap? I located them on E bay but everything seemed to be from Lithuania at £65-- £70. Checked local BMW Dealer in Doncaster, £28 each side! If you still have a problem send a message .
Cheers
David

Yes, around that area - I can’t seem to find that part which attaches to the bumper in real oem

Pop into your local BMW dealer, then you are sure to get the correct part and think you may be pleasantly surprised at the cost

I’m mid-order Captain, I’m getting better prices than my garage! The problem I have is not being able to find the part on real oem - I’m currently working in Bristol and my car is in bits in Coventry.

I thought it was number 8 as that looks towards the front but I’ve found out that is metal. Do you know where that fits?

Number 6 doesn’t show any fitting holes in the leading edge

The garage said the tray underneath is in 2 parts which I’m starting to think isn’t the case unless number 6 fits upto a heat shield toward the back of the car?

If it's the little/long rubber spoiler, then I believe it's a Z4MC only part...as it shows as part #23 on the e86 page, but is greyed out on the e85 page.

Thanks everyone - not being able to just have a quick look at my car to check has been a tad frustrating.

Following the picture provided earlier I found more pictures of the undertray (numbered 6 on real oem) on eBay which show the holes where it attaches to the bumper. I haven’t wanted to mess it up and order the wrong part as it has to come from Germany as no stock in UK.

So order placed - fingers crossed 😂
