Back in a new Z4

Post by McHaggis69 » Thu Feb 16, 2023 6:17 pm

After a couple of years in the E89 forum, here I am.

Picked up the car on Sunday - was so lucky it ticked every box I was looking for - Exterior colour, interior colour, tech pack and comfort pack. Travelled to Hartlepool to collect.

First impressions are it is genuinely a step up from my previous (fantastic) motor.
I'm happy to read any tips of any description, but most of all, how do you keep the roof fabric clean? (never had a soft top before, always hardtops)...

Will eventually get some photos in better surroundings.

Nice, was seeing a Misano blur on the M8 that first peaked my interest in the G29. Which variant did you go for?

As you know, I was open minded to either 20i or 30i and this one is the SDrive 20i M Sport

Perfectly competent for an old fart like me :D

Reminds me I need to change my signature photo!

Very cheap to remap anyway, once out of warranty, if you feel you need more poke.

When I was looking i'd have taken a 20i quite happily if the right spec and deal had came up.

Congratulations on the new car and certainly a beautiful color.

I use the Gyeon Fabric Goat soft top, or the Gtechnic brand Fabric Coat. The Gtechnic is a bit easier to apply.

Fab colour choice. I'm biased as I had one too. Changed it for all black last year but it doesn't have quite the pull of Misano Blue. Especially when it's not clean like just now
