Z4M seats (E85/E86)

Post by Wassup » Fri Feb 03, 2023 6:21 pm

All Z4M seats (with the ///M emblem) are electric. I have a black set for sale which are also heated.

The M sport seats come in manual and electric variants.

Z4M seats (E85/E86)

Since I'm from The Netherlands (and drive a LHD), I prefer manually. So in this case, without the M logo. Although your seats are really nice @wassup!

Thanks gents,

Dutchie here as well, and out of curiosity, what does being from the Netherlands have to do with preferring manual seats? :D

Also a general question as I'm looking for a set of champagne sport seats myself, if current seats are manual, is it hard to install electric seats? I'd assume they simply plug into an existing harness?

I'ld prefer manual, because of:
1 Not having the memory buttons on passenger side;
2 Being 2m tall, it's nice to have some more 'depth'.

Fair enough! I'm a shorty by Dutch standards :(

But I wouldn't be bothered one bit with the memory buttons being on the wrong side, as long as the controls are there (and they are).

If you find a pair in mainland Europe any memory buttons will be on your driver's side, but I can see why you might want manual ones to suit your height.

Good luck finding a suitable pair of M-Sport seats.

Had to check your profile for that, but yes - UK spec is always higher and European spec often removes certain items due to the tax when ordering from factory.

When I lived in NL I ordered my car without certain items and upgraded afterwards
Current:
911-50 Black - unique spec
X5M - 575 hp of fun in a V8
Abarth 595 Comp.
Golf Clipper - collectors item
Z4 3.0si Black Sapphire
VW ID.3

Previous:
Z4M Silver Grey - non flimper spec (gone to Bing)
Z4 3.0 Toledo
