Anyone have experience of these tyres? going to do all 4 corners on the Cayman as the Michelins on it although they have plenty of tread are getting quite old.. 10y on front and 7 on the rear :o the reviews seem OK with decent enough handling characteristics, most importantly to me though they are rated for low noise in cabin, Im also considering Vredestein Ultrac vorti + as I had a good experience with those on my e85.. If anyone has any feedback on the tyres please shout out.. Don't recommend Michelin ps4s to me though.. I know they are the market leader but I'm not a fan, tried them on the e89 and they don't seem any better than decent mid range tyres to me at a premium price.. Im sure if I was driving at 9/10ths all the time or doing track days they would be super but I'm not convinced they're necessary for general British road driving even if I do get a bit of hooligan on now and again :D
Cheers
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

Not sure on these model in particular, but looked at Hankook Ventus Prime 4 k135’s recently, as they seemed to be particularly good in testing. Maybe also worth a look if you can get the sizes.

…or the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric’s I always seem to gravitate towards, have consistently been great for mixed up driving styles.

Hey Mr.Tourette, unfortunately i can't offer an opinion on the hankook tyres, but I've got vredesteins on the daily, conti sports prior to those. I'm a big fan of the vreds always a great tyre whatever the weather. I've recently refurbed some wheels for the zed and added Goodyear assymetric 6 tyres on them. I had trouble getting vreds at the time of purchase, so opted for the goodyears because of all the positve reviews on tyrereviews.com.

Thanks chaps.. I'll be avoiding the Goodyears though, tried them on the e89 and whilst they had great handling they were without doubt the noisiest tyres I've ever tried

Not exactly helpful but I've got Hankook winter tyres on my 330i and they're really good.

mr wilks on here recommend Kumho Ecstas a couple of times so I got a set for my MC and I've been very pleased with them. And I got a set for £400 from Black Circles! :)

ETA My Kumho Ecstas are also PS71.

I would look for Dunlop SportMaxx RT2 , bit more expensive the latest Pirelli Pzero , or Conti 6 / 7 all equal in performance for 99% of users + quiet by comparison to Ps4s
3 ZMRs
3 E89s
5 Si coupes
5 Si roadsters
997 C4
TTRS
F82 M4
MK7 Golf Gti
current Bmw 6 Gran Turismo

Steve; have a look at Kuhmo Ecsta PS71s. I just fitted a set on my new wheels for my 440i.
Weapon of choice for the 'non tyre snob' IMHO. Much cheaper than the 'big' brands, heat up quickly and they also look really nice (for a black round tyre). Can't comment on noise, as the exhaust on mine is so noisy I can't hear the radio, let alone tyres! :)
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Kumho used to offer a great alternative to the big names at very fair money , grip levels were great from new , downside that sub 5mm they were shot whereas bigger names still performed to the end .
Now the ££ margin has closed & Kumhos no longer look like bargain rubber .
I would pay the extra £30-£40 a corner for the bigger brands that will pay dividend on the final mm,s.
EG extra £30 would be into Sportmaxx money
extra £40 a tyre its Conti 6 territory

As you probably know Andy I'm a fan of the Sportmaxx, loved them on the e89 but can't get rears in the correct fitment :x

Ditto, been looking at getting those from recommendations on here :headbang: Lucky escape :poke:
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.
