Hello All
Looking for some previous history on our latest Z4. Its an E85 3.0i in Titanium Silver and originally registered as RJ04VNA possibly in the Oxford UK area. According to BMW UK thay have North Oxford BMW as having serviced it up to July 2007 but nothing after that. If any previous owners are on the forum I would be most appreciative of any information on its past. The car is in mint condition and I can't imagine its gone unserviced.
Thanks in advance.
John :)

Think that's Pondy's old car, this was it after he had a coughing fit whilst trying to eat a tub of hundreds and thousands on the Nurburgring.

Someone has done a great repair to make it mint.

Only kidding, welcome to the forum.

Will the car's ECU contain information about when the service reset was carried out? I know the Mercedes ECUs can be read to extract the data.

Hi and welcome to posting on the forum.
RJ reg numbers were registered in Reading; not a million miles away from Oxford.

Hi and welcome to the forum John.

My first BMW had an RK04 registration and was originally registered to BMW UK when they were still in Bracknell, so a Reading plate was the local one.

Good luck with your search.

Unless you strike lucky with any previous owners being on one of the forums (could try zroadster.org and all the other BMW forums too), you may never find the service history. Even if you do strike lucky, the chances of anyone having any paperwork is remote IMHO.
Best of luck though.

If BMW UK can't find anything after July 2007 that suggests it probably hasn't visited a BMW dealer since then. Which kind of makes sense as it would be out of warranty by then.

If that is the case I think you'll be doing well to find anything, unless you manage to stumble across a former keeper.
