Ah OK..I understand that the K+N filtraton is very ppor compared to a paper filter..but each to their own
Will be better than the 2 cone filters sucking in hot engine air..
For sure, but not as much as people think..

The increase in warm air in the engine bay is relatively immaterial compared to the temperature increases caused by turbo compression..

A good FMIC makes much more difference than whether you have a stock box, CAI or DCIs..

Personally I like the stock airbox and if I can hang onto a paper filter with my next stage of tune I will..as long as I'm not damaging the turbos I'll even sacrifice a few ponies for clean filtered air..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard..

Found out that Remus have stopped supplying the short/half system, and only supply the full system for E89 (knew I should have bought it last year). FYI Remus is supported by The Performance Co (Wellingborough) as UK importer. No, not placed an order yet, as need to save more money (and I still want to get a set on Conti 7 on her at some point)

I’m going to do it in stages, B12 kit now but, I’ll leave the uprated ARB’s until later in the year…. Unless another cheap deal pops up!

Still need to find a Coder to code out the adaptive suspension, or be brave and try and work it out myself :o

These threads are lethal. I have just finished building a spare subframe so I can swap it with my coupe subframe so she’s future proofed. Had the spare parts blasted, zinc coated and done in battleship grey.

I’ll need to do a clutch and fly at some point this year with 155k and 30 track days on the original.

Then the next round of mods will be either an ESS blower or 6 branch with custom cat setup and valvetronic lifter kit. Fancy a little bhp increase to around 280/290bhp, Americans having been getting great results on Zpost. She’s just sat on my ramp waiting lol

Lovely piece of work….I for the first time was looking at both E89 and E85 rear suspension systems..just didn’t realise how similar they were..give or take some bits of metal dimensions..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard..
