WBAC prices go more askew the older the car…so whilst Pondrew general synopsis is valid what the market buys at is increasingly at odds with WBAC when it comes to older E89s like the 23i and 30i..as well as older 35i..FWIW
On these cars condition and goodies are more important IMHO than mileage or owners..the 23i and 30i generally rumble on forever with little money required, and the E89 chassis generally is wearing very well..

There are quite a few around- so can be picky. Not sure if prices will rise as we get to Spring on the cost of living issue will bite harder and keep prices downJamesClements wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 6:25 pm A decent 23i should be well within reach for that money I would think even in the current market, the N52 in either variation is a great engine super reliable with reuglar servicing

WBAC prices vary hugely with what time of year it is, they hit roadsters hard in the winter months when in reality the retail/ private prices do not drop that much in the winter

WBAC are owned by BCA so I imagine they also get some of their data via that

WBAC
Prices reflect what they can sell for at auction, milage and condition is everything, most auction buyers are trade, older cars are heavily discounted because a repair can cost more than the car is worth. 2 seater sports cars are a limited market which makes it worse, high milage cars are going to cost a lot in repairs unless you have a workshop and pretty good maintenance skills. Some owners grossly overprice their cars, it’s their choice but with a little research it’s not difficult to find decent cars at a realistic price, you are not going to get much of a warranty with a 12 or 15 yr old car and at least the dealer will have checked it over and serviced it.

I have a very high Spec 3.0 manual MSport, on a 60 plate that I’m thinking about selling, Has most options, DSB with Canberra-Beige Leather (Lovely Combo), 74K miles, HPI clear etc, Fresh mot in December. Bottom line is £11.5k which is why I haven’t mentioned it earlier.
Highest level Audio, IDrive, satnav, Bluetooth for phone and audio, cruise, heated MSport seats, 18’’ 325M alloys, lighting pack for door handles etc …other stuff I’ve forgotten. Very few manual 3.0 Msports with anywhere near this spec.
Let me know if interested, it’s not advertised and I’m in no rush.
