Adding oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp, voltage

Post by grannyknot » Sat Dec 17, 2022 2:54 pm

My Z4MC has an oil temp gauge which is great but I would also like to have oil pressure, coolant temp and voltage readings.
After searching I came across this company that makes just the thing, https://blackstarmanufacture.com/produkt/multigauge/

It is designed for the older BMW's but can be made to work for a Z4, I decided to remove the D/S cup holder that I never use and replace it with a blank, for you guys in the UK that would be #51457056652. The oil drain bolt can be used for the oil temp sensor, the engine block coolant drain can be used for the coolant temp, the switched +12v power source provides voltage and I used the extra oil sensor port for the oil pressure sender.

The reading on the push button isn't as bright as it looks, just over exposed, it can also be turned off so it is just black.

Thanks, the kit comes pre wired with all the connectors attached, the leads from the sensors are long enough to go through that central rubber plug in the firewall and reach to right behind where the cup holders are.
