Use 'German' (i.e. made in China) 'Roadster' 3-part set that was popular here a few years ago. Paid less than £200 delivered. Very good.
Will take wife & me away for a week with no bother. Wheels & extendable handles helpful. When full, put no pressure on any boot mechanism.
Haven't looked far, but prices seem higher now.

Thank you for link, I will take a lookjenniferlouise wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 9:16 am There is a set for the E 89 currently on eBay and the seller has just reduced the price. I was looking at that myself, but in truth I probably don’t need them. Here’s the link. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325440948004 ... media=COPY

The hooks behind the seats on top of the roll bars can take 25kg.
I layer up clothes in a garment bag and hang them behind the seat. There is also a metal attachment point on the rear bulkhead where another hanger can be attached with T-shirts etc. say you have five items per hanger, thats 20 items in the cabin.
This massively frees boot space, and keeps your clothes crease free!

I assume you are using the Roadster Bags. It's a recommendation from my point of view as well.
Real trolleys with a perfect asymmetric shape for the E89 trunk.
Have a look at the following pics from eBay:

Yep, those are the ones. Plus the shallow one that fits in the recess across the front of the boot (which takes my girlfriend's underwear for a week).
Not cheap, but efficient. (Like my girlfriend.)

I’ve got the Roadster Bags set and wouldn’t be without them.

There aren't any hooks or seats on top of the roll bars, are there?

Also, these: position 4
I found the hooks on ebay, they are genuine and they slot in to a space in the roll hoops. Storage game changer.

I just used one medium suitcase for the Mrs and put that in first. I then put a soft bag (70ltr) for myself in the remaining space. Both bags we already had.
We managed a 2 week euro tour with no issues and the roof down. Kept our small day bags behind the seats when driving and when we stopped and put the roof up that gave the additional space to store them in the boot out of sight if we did not want to take them with us.
Plenty off room in the e89s trunk.

It that rack only secured by suction cup!? That's brave.B21 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:43 pm Welcome ..I have a set of custom soft luggage … https://www.carfitbags.com/product-eng- ... 3-PCS.html
There are other soft bags suppliers and a hard case suppliers…
The other option is to find some soft luggage flight bags or some cheap hold alls.
The positive of the fitted luggage is that you don’t stand much chance of breaking the delicate cover over the luggage that you need to allow the roof to pack. With the non fitted luggage you may be tempted to stuff extra items in.
Brings some rigour to the packing..
I took a boot rack on a 16 day Pyrenean road trip this summer..the consensus was we could have just managed with just the boot bags..

Yes it is but they use 4 of them to hold a two bike rack on the roof of Teslas so figured 3 should cope with a small pair of bags in the negative pressure area of the carBeardyJon wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 9:33 amIt that rack only secured by suction cup!? In 20000 miles never showed any sign of coming adrift as long as you follow the detailed instructions
