Parked next to a Mini Metro convertible today, never knew they made one & never seen one before - absolutely tiny next to our Yeti!

They did but not a GTi version.
There was one at Mathewsons auction last week. I think it sold too!

First car I drove when passed my test was my mum's Metro (not a cab obviously).
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

They did come in GTi form,Pondtew.
It only came out in the early 90s,so a K reg would be a genuine model GTi
Very niche though, but saw a few near where I lived back in their day

Oh yes, so they did!
They were apparently so expensive that no-one bought them, so Rover shipped a load to Jersey, then brought them back as 'used' cars to save the VAT and sell them loads cheaper. I read that when I was looking at the GTi info.

And they were responsible for the MGF being spawned. :o

I don't know as bout that, but in Europe and Jersey, they got the 1.1 whereas the UK only got the 1.4 8v and 16v.
Not sure if that's accurate, but I only remember ever seeing 1.4 8v models in standard spec or 16v, GTi
