You either have the ultimate short stubby aerial, or someone has nicked your highly desirable whippy one. :D
Looking closer, is it sheared off in the mount?
If you need a new mount I have one here which I'll happily post out to you as a 'well done'.
Good eyes! Yes, it’s been sheared off - I was hoping to get enough purchase on it to unscrew the bit that was left, but there isn’t quite enough to grip hold of. Weirdly though, the radio reception is great!
PM me your address and I'll send you a replacement base unit.
Stubby or whippy? Think I have both.

Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

Are those your preferred method of recompense?

What can I say but a brilliant job, you've brought it back from hell. All the crap gone and back to what it was meant to be. Now for god's sake enjoy driving it. :driving:
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Really enjoyed following your winter project. You’ve transformed the car. Well played.
