I remembered another fault

wipers move about 3mm on intermittent but when you put it on speed 1 or 2 they work fine - motor and mechanism dismantle clean and rebuild required

Have you tried resetting? These could be historic.
Then try again and see what you're left with.

I have reset and will take it for a run to the mot station 😃honest officer
But after my 2 weeks in the sun

And the passenger carpet is wet but not soaking

If you're looking to cover up / remove the side reflectors I'm sure there will be people on here interested in them as they are quite difficult to get hold of I believe.

Be aware that the sound deadening layer under the carpet can absorb an astonishing amount of water, so don’t be too complacent. Slide the seat as far forward as it will go then get your hand down the carpet join under the seat.
