Race Chip XLR Throttle Tuner

Anyone here use a Race Chip XLR Throttle Tuner box on your Z4?

My 23i felt very sluggish when I purchased it.
A software update and the use of Sport mode has improved things.

I've now come across the Race Chip Throttle Tuner and it seems to be what I need to reduce the throttle lag.
I am happy with the overall power in the car for my use case and location but I feel there is a significant lag when moving off.

With a 25% (black Friday) offer, I'm tempted.

Has anyone else used one?

It’s only going to do what sport mode already does to the throttle response imho

Lag will purely be a consequence of sub-optimal mapping - your mapper should be able to adjust the throttle map if they know what they're doing.

As a rule I'd avoid anything that plugs into the car and modifies an input into the ecu.

OK.
I've ordered it.
Let's see the difference in a week or two.

On other ECUs such as the one fitted to the 35 you can adjust throttle lag aka smoothing, however I don't think there is any 3rd party support for hobbyist s/w to do this for the N52?

As per the link to the thread B21 has given I have one fitted to my 30i and yes it does make a noticeable difference in all modes be it comfort sport sport plus etc. It removes the lag but equally from what I have been told and as suggested above an ECU tuner can map it out to do the same thing.
