Just checking - Silbergrau 2.0 facelift - sadly will now be breaking
Well gang, the little Silber Grau facelift 4-pot did me proud, taking me through the winter with no real issues once I'd sorted the heating out.
However, the MOT is due end of this month and pricing up just the essentials I know it needs will take me over £1000 of parts, plus hours of my time. And that assumes the recurring EML light keeps its head down during the test.
Financially it is sadly not viable and I know it can contribute a lot of good parts to other cars, so after it's last run on 27th June it'll come apart.
At that point, to keep things all above board, I will post up a proper advert.
In the meantime, as I have limited space I would like to get stuff off and gone as quick as I can, so I'm starting to make a wish-list for who wants what.
I already have bids in for both front wings, front bumper, passenger door, LH heater vent, door outer kick plates, both sills, possibly all three airbag modules, third brake light, roof motor/pump, seats and the RH tweeter.
If you need anything could you please register interest on here first so I know what's what.
(Mods, please let me know if this isn't the correct process) - I will put up a proper 'breaking' advert soon, with prices, and with people's names against things they've told me they need. All sales will then be processed through that thread.
By the way, the rear bumper and boot lid are both damaged beyond recovery.

Any idea if the plastic lower grill in the front bumper is the same as for a 3.0si ?
If so, what condition is it in and how much please?

Not sure tbh, but I have a potential buyer lined up for the complete front bumper, minus the fogs and kidney grilles.
I will stick you on the list just in case.

I know, but it needs all four corners suspension done, ideally new cat sensors to stop the EML, new rear bumper as the old one has nowhere left to mount number-plate lights, new windscreen, one new tyre, new lollipop bushes.................... and that's without stuff the MOT man finds.
Even then it's still a high mileage tatty 4-pot which wouldn't sell.
On the plus side, since I rescued it in October it's done nearly 5000 extra miles and been my daily car. It could have been scrapped back then.
Silber Grau seems slightly rarer and most of the panels are good ones, so it will help others out.

Which badge? Roundel or 'Z4'?
Drivers door card is decent.
PM me your email or mobile so I can send photos.
For now you will be added to the list but as previously stated, to keep it all above board I will start a proper Sale thread after 27th June. All earlier queries will be honoured.

Do you know if the central air vent would be the same for the E86? If so I'm interested potentially.
Thanks
Owen

I would be interested in the Gear knob and the silver centre console cover that sits underneath the handbrake if these are available.

Gear knob is a bit tatty.houseofscouse wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 10:35 am I would be interested in the Gear knob and the silver centre console cover that sits underneath the handbrake if these are available.
Centre console? You mean the whole thing from front to back, ashtray to handbrake?
This one has no Sport button, but the cut-outs are marked underneath them.
Again, if you pm me an email or mobile number I'll send pics.
In the meantime, you're on the list.
