2003 Z4 secondary air relay location

Post by Gerald Yoquelet » Sun Nov 20, 2022 1:38 am

Getting really frustrated.

I replaced secondary Air Pump only to find that the relay is bad. thats not the frustrating part, after tearing apart the glove box (because thats were I was told that I could find the relay only to not find it there, it also isnt in the relay box that in under the hood drivers side. Can anyone help find the location of the elusive relay?

Good morning and welcome to the forum.
According to Newtis the relay is on the rear of the fuse box:

And here's the wiring diagram.

I assume you've already checked out Fuses 33 and 56?

I never thought to look on yhe back of the fuse box. That's going to be a trick to get there. Thank you for this information. Will post results later today.

Couple of screws at the top and the whole board will drop down into the footwell then you can get to the rear and the relays plugged in the back. There is enough slack on the cables to allow access.

Good afternoon, and thank you for the information provided to help me locate the relay. I would not have thought to locate it on the back of the fuse box,
New relay is in place and now the pump is working properly.
Again, thank you for giving me the location.
