Oxygen sensor - Bank 2 Sensor 1

Post by GJ1 » Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:50 pm

Hi folks,

Can I please check my understanding.
Is Bank 2 Sensor 1 located approximately where I have indicated in picture i.e. nearest driver side wheel and towards back (cylinders 4-6)?

Sensor 1 = pre-cat?

Can find a Bosch Lambda sensor (product code 710111625) on carparts4less for £129.74 which is considerably less than a garage quoted me for the part (£267 without labour) so makes me slightly worried I'm not selecting the correct part but it is definitely bank2 sensor 1 (pre-cat) that is faulting.

Sorry, I can't directly answer your question.

I've just bought a couple of lambda (oxygen) sensors for my other cars and used Autodoc to find equivalent part numbers. Doing a bit of internet searching with those different part numbers (for the exact same type of sensor) can save a huge amount of money.
I got a a Delphi sensor for £23.50 where the main dealer one (Bosch) was about £200.

Sensor 1 is pre-cat

If you got the money to do so change both banks, most sensors go blind at similar times so would make sense to do both

Yeah I had a look on autodoc too although carparts4less came out cheaper.

That's some saving you got there
