Engine mounts

Hi,
Looking to replace engine mounts and I am considering Corteco, Febi Bilstein or Lemforder.

Some say that Corteco is what BMW would fit. I don't know if that is correct. Any experiences?

They are all OEMs. If you want an upgrade you could consider these: https://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/bmw/z4 ... gine_mount
3.0si Sport: F10 Illuminated ZHP, Retrofit Cruise, OE Stubby, Gaptech RCH+, Kenwood BT73DAB + Handsfree, HIDs, LED Sidelights, OE LED Number Plate Lights, Custom LED strip bootlight.

I would second the Vibra technics Engine mounts, worth the money, and a noticeable wee handling improvement too

Thanks for the further option. They look pretty smart.

Just bear in mind the Vibra-Technics mounts in the link are a fair bit stiffer than OE ones so you may notice a bit more NVH with them.

When I had mine replaced by Ross at RBM he recommended OE mounts as I wasn't planning to track the car!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

As long as you get the Road spec Vibra technic ones and not the Race ones, then any increase in road noise or vibration is barely detectable, imo

These do give good benefits on road, not just track use.....But I guess it depends how much you push your car on the road,I.e how Spirited you drive it
But several folk on here have put the Vibratechnics ones on and seen/felt a noticeable wee improvement
Each to their own though  :driving:

How do these mounts improve urinary function? Does the increased NVH help break up kidney stones perchance?

Afternoon all,

I’m considering the switching out the OEM mounts on by E86 weekend car/track toy. Has anyone tried the Strongflex engine mounts? Price wise, they are attractive at £140 for a pair compared with £240 for the VT’s. PowerFlex are crazy expensive so not considering those.
I’m not fussed about a bit of NVH. Makes the car feel like more of an experience.
