Is there anyone out there who is having problems with dim display? Is there a way to increase the brightness?

The brightness is adjusted via the BC button on the indicator stalk.
Same as this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSsv-PVC5FM

If you mean the iDrive screen then no idea!

Welcome BTW! :)
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Thank you
The iDrive screen on my 3.0i is very dim and want to know if it could be improved. The adjustment if set to full.

Scroll down to and enter the Settings menu.

And adjust the brightness accordingly with the controller dial. Once happy press the control knob again to lock it in

Is there a night mode?
Im sure I have read somewhere that you can set the idrive screen to night mode.
Also Im sure I have read that if your lights are on it can go into night mode.

Hi Dave
Thank I'll look into it. I usually have the lights on auto and I'll try turning them off.

Mine was misbehaving like yours, I got it changed while my car was covered by warranty direct.
They cost around £2500 plus labour, like rocking horse poo to find second hand....

The iDrive screen has night mode? I am pretty sure mine hasn't done that in the 3 years I've had the car, its always bright. Is there a setting for this?

AFAIK you can explicitly set night mode on the settings screen..the normal ‘positive; display may or may not dim with headlights..can’t recall it doing that..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
