Steering Lock recommendations please!
Hi!
I’m new here and just collected my 2021 Z4 at the weekend.
I’m using a Stoplock Pro Elite from my old car, but finding it really difficult to manoeuvre it inside Z4. Also tricky to secure it without getting it tangled in the indicator/paddle shifters!
Can anyone recommend a better fitting steering lock? Open to all suggestions (but something affordable please)
Thanks!

No idea about steering locks, haven't used one since the 70s, but welcome to the forum. Could we have some pictures of your car please as usual.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

I've had one of these for many years. https://www.disklokuk.co.uk/shop/disklok/
Hadn't used it in a while but started using it again when parked at home as a neighbour lost one of his cars in the night.
Fits well on the wheel and doesn't tangle with the shift levers.
Downside is the size but it sits in the passenger foot-well when I'm driving or goes easily in the boot when I've got a passenger.

Thanks z4monster and hopz121 for your prompt reply - I’ll invest in one of these! Just a deterrent for some peace of mind

Disklok size small.
Go to Halfords, get a steering wheel cover. Cut it so it's easy to quickly slip it over the wheel before putting on the Disklok to protect the leather. Much better than the "sock" they try and upsell.

My zed is in an electrically locked garage behind electrically locked drive gates. Never felt the need for anything else, I’ll take the risk when parked away from home

I have something like this for my 4x4, because it doesn't have an alarm. It came with the car, so I use it when leaving car parked somewhere for extended periods. I would not bother at home. And I would certainly not bother with Z4.

Say you're not from Birmingham without saying you're not from...Roadster_Surrey wrote: ↑Wed Oct 12, 2022 6:30 pm I would not bother at home. And I would certainly not bother with Z4.
