Does supercharging these not make for more issues than enough?

I was talking some time ago with an Indy in Halesowen and he said tuning them, keeping them cool etc wasn’t as easy as people though. He also said the aftermarket service from the supercharger supplier wasn’t great either.

supercharging one of these must make it crazy fast and even more instant torque. have never found the S54 wanting for grunt

each to their own and must be a right handful in the wet.

It's my Supercharged car that is for sale.
Sorry, I meant to post it for sale on here but I have been crazy with work but will get it sorted on the weekend (I hope). I am not sure I have ever heard of an issue with keeping them cool, I certainly haven't had one. I liked the Supercharger so much that I bought one for the MG SVR I am building as they make one for the Coyote (Mustang) engine.
After service is great I have found. They are really crazy busy at the moment as their Mustang charger is really popular but the quality is outstanding and not sure I have seen many issues with the Z4m or the M3 guys who used them. It is also really maintenance easy. A change of supercharger oil every so often not much else
It is crazy fast but in a fun way. I have never really been in trouble although it has not really been stressed in my ownership. It's really quick off the line but it's the 40mph to 120 that is mind-blowing. My one crackles and pops with the blow-off valve and exhaust which I thought I would hate but really love as it's a real sense of occasion. The race dash has shift lights and again I can monitor all temps on that and I have never had any issue.
Z4m, ESS Supercharger, Bilstein B16's, AP big brakes and a Roll cage.

Does anyone know what happened with the silver E86M that was for sale on CollectingCars? I last looked and it had bids on, now vanished? I'm guessing it didn't meet the reserve?

Bidding went to £16,500 but obviously that was under the reserve price as like you say it didn't sell - seems like the market price of these continues to fall with decent looking examples starting to appear for under £15k. I wonder where it will end?

This is back to 2014 prices! I hadn’t realised there’d been a mini crash in the prices going on! Nice time to buy in I’d say!

I have been hearing & reading some interesting things about Collecting cars plus the business model

the arse has fallen out of the market and people are still expecting big dollars for ok condition cars and mileage.

they have been selling cars regardless of the reserve it would appear and telling the sellers to take it or face further issues thus breaking the contract/SLA. looking at old car values and auctions is irrelevant now and the model is starting to wobble a bit.

maybe why they are getting into watches but then they will suffer as a luxury item and folks start trimming back as the heating goes on, mortgage rates go up and money is not as cheap as it used to be across the board.

I am not sure its a mini crash tom more a reversion to actual value and worth. during lockdown and after cars were at a short supply and people had a fair chunk of change lying around and went out buying. very different economic position now and going into 23 & 24.

I thought it was £16,500 but maybe that was what it reached when my webpage last updated - when I went back in and refreshed for the final time it just said "not sold". Have to say £20k rather than £16.5k does sound a bit more realistic for a 58k car even in the current climate.
