Rear left creaks? *sorted*

Post by Argenta » Fri Sep 30, 2022 8:34 am

Anybody have a good guess what's usually causing creaks coming from rear left, say when changing from reverse and turning in a garage, flat floor..? So the noise doesn't need bumps, which I guess excludes shock mounts etc.

Creaks generally come from rubber ( dry) I am a big advocate of liberally spraying regularly - at least once a year anything rubber on the car with silicon spray. mounts, bushes, seals etc - you will be amazed how much quieter your car will become!

It sounds more "structural" than creaks from rubber bushings, I must say. More metallic.

My rear left creeks too. But that's arthritis. :D

Have you checked the spring is not broken?

Rear left creaks?

Ok Buzyg it was actually related to the left spring.. :)
Lots of sand/gravel had gotten in between the spring rubber seat, from last sundays trackday (don’t ask..) :)
All fixed!
Amazed some sand/gravel could cause that much noise...
