Ian J,

Sorry you’ve had to change the Zed Ian, but more importantly the forum can’t lose a man like you who obviously has impeccable taste  . As others have said stick around and health and happiness with the new wheels

    I'm welling up here!
This is such a momentous occasion I think it deserves what I like to call an "ode to Ian":

    You had a G29
I do wish it was mine
you have now left us all
    but we will stand tall

    Gone into a T-Roc
    We wish you well
    but please don't dwell
on the friends or those who mock

    :D :D
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

    F31 320i. Good car.
    E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
    Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

In the past I have always part exchanged my car for either something better or something equal but different. This is the first time that I have taken a step backwards and I'm really not looking forward to it. I'll probably get the phone call later this week that it's ready to pick up and I'm dreading that moment

I only do 6,000 miles per year and agree it does cost a lot based on that sort of mileage, but I think I have earned it and until Labour get in and make it too expensive to drive a petrol car, I will stick with it. My knees make it a little challenging o get in and out and still look cool but I have found if you wind the widow down it does make it easier, especially in a tight garage.
Don't be too disappointed, at least your driving something

I only did about 2.5k between last Sept and this Sept (Mot dates)
I have my wobbly legs so the Smarttop Module is essential - It allows me to get in and out and retain some dignity-

I often wonder how many say "look at that white haired old f4rt in a sports car"
